Atha kho sambahulā bhikkhū yena bhagavā tenupasaṅkamiṃsu, upasaṅkamitvā bhagavantaṃ abhivādetvā ekamantaṃ nisīdiṃsu. Ekamantaṃ nisinnā kho te bhikkhū bhagavantaṃ etadavocuṃ – ‘‘āyasmā, bhante, bhaddiyo araññagatopi rukkhamūlagatopi suññāgāragatopi abhikkhaṇaṃ udānaṃ udānesi – ‘aho sukhaṃ, aho sukha’nti. Nissaṃsayaṃ kho, bhante, āyasmā bhaddiyo anabhiratova brahmacariyaṃ carati. "再者，优波离，比丘宣称法为非法...宣称粗重罪为非粗重罪。他对非法有法见，对分裂有法见，不改变见解，不改变忍受，不改变喜好，不改变意向，宣布，拿投票棒说：'这是法，这是律，这是师教，你们接受这个，喜欢这个。'优波离，这种破僧者也不是堕落者、不是地狱众生、不住一劫、不是无法治愈的。"
